I love music. Absolutely adore it. It seems like there is a song for every mood, and music has always had the power to help life me out of the doldrums, if I can find the right song.
The song I want to talk about today is “I’ll Fly Away”. It’s one I’ve heard since I was eight, and it never fails to bring emotions roaring to the surface. When my grandmother passed, she had it played at her funeral, and since then, it has had even more meaning for me. I can’t hear it without thinking of her, and though I miss her, it’s like having her there with me again for a brief moment.
