Wedding bells are ringing across the Independence Islands and this week we’re talking about wedding dresses.

I knew exactly what dress I wanted from the moment I said yes to getting married. Long sleeve, off-the-shoulder, with a long train and a classic feel.

Was I getting married in June, one of the hottest months in Tennessee? Yes.

Did I still get the dress that was going to absolutely cause me to sweat every single second of the wedding? Also yes.

Was it worth it? You bet.

I guess the biggest question you have is, how long did it take me to find this perfect dress of my dreams?

One shop. I walked into the bridal shop with a vision of my dress in my head. I walked straight to the racks of dresses and I pulled it out within five minutes of entering the dress shop. Tried it on. Loved it. Bought it.

Buying the dress was probably the easiest part of the whole wedding.
