Free books and a giveaway ..

Tonight’s blog I am going to share with you how to get free books for your Kindle (some also offer books for nook). I was always skeptical about sites that offered free books but I finally broke down and signed up for a few. I cannot guarantee their safety but all they require is an email address so I dove in. Let me just say, I have had no problems with any of the sites nor have I had my information used or sold. Some of the sites you can choose your genre and some are specific to certain genres. I will let you know as much as I can about each site that I have signed up for. Some days I download every book on the list and sometimes I only see one or two that I like. The point is, every day is a different possibility and you should be able to find a wide array of free books. Disclaimer: this post has not been sponsored by any of the following affiliates. This is just my opinion and perceptions.

At the end of this list will be a link to my author page on facebook where I am hosting a book giveaway of various hardcover and paperback novels, along with several other goodies that will be added later. All you have to do to enter is share the post and tag me so that I can follow it. If you have not already liked my author page then please do so as that is where you will find most of my book release information. And, the giveaway doesn’t happen until the page hits 500 likes so the more likes, the faster the giveaway happens.

Now for the fun stuff: a link for each site is provided.

Book Barbarian: enter your email address and get an email every day with different sci-fi and/or fantasy novels. I only signed up for this one today so I don’t have a guaranteed approval but it looks like it will be good.

Book Bub: if I remember correctly, you have to create a profile for bookbub but I might have only done that because of the author options. Here you get to choose which categories you would like to subscribe to and they will email you every day with free and discounted books. This is one of my favorites because it has Christian fiction. Today one of Colleen Coble’s new books was listed for 99¢. 99¢!!!! For a new book!! And there are several free ones each day as well.

Robin Reads: just like book barbarian, all you have to do is enter your email address and they will send you a list every day of free or 99¢ books. They cover nearly every genre, from thriller to YA. I recommend this one if you enjoy different genres.

Book Adrenaline: here is where you will find the majority of your mysteries and thrillers. Enter your email and every day you will get a list of free and discounted books. I think I found 3 on their list today that I downloaded.

Book Cave: what I love most about this one is that they tell you a content rating. They offer free and discounted books across different genres. I enjoy books from a lot of genres but I don’t want to read erotica or profanity. Book cave gives each book a specific rating and numeric value regarding sexual content and profanity so I don’t have to worry about accidentally getting a book that goes against my personal beliefs.

Faithful Reads: here is the site for your Christian fiction. Whether it be contemporary or historical, you will get plenty of options here for both free and discounted books. This is where I found the 99¢ Colleen Coble book today. I actually saw it on 2 or 3 of these emails today

Book Perk: another one that crosses several genres is book perk. You’ll see mostly discounted books here. I don’t think I’ve seen anything free yet but that could be because I am checking specific genres and not all of them. Their discounted prices are very good though.

If you’re like me and you subscribe to all of these then you’ll see the same books across a few of these subscriptions but its actually more rare than I anticipated. I know for a fact that I have nearly doubled my kindle library over the last month and this is easier than typing in ‘free kindle books’ from my kindle and wading through the millions of options. I will still do that from time to time, but doing it this way has been easier for me. If you know of more sites then feel free to add your comments and let me know.

And now for me to shamelessly promote my own giveaway. I love books. I could live in a library and be happy. And as a result, I have several duplicates cluttering my shelves. I decided to take all those books, and a copy of each of my books that have been published, throw them together in a giveaway and add some other bookish items along the way. I will be adding gift cards, book items, and anything else that I can think of. You can enter here: Giveaway

I hope you have a wonderful night. Happy reading! I have enough books to keep me busy for years but that won’t stop me from getting more.
